Dream of flying silently above the water? The Fliteboard is today the most desirable eFoil (electric hydrofoil surfboard) on the market: a board fitted with an underwater wing and an electric motor that literally lifts you off the surface. But between the ICON, PRO, ULTRA, RACE, the inflatable AIR, the handlebar Flitescooter or the Marc Newson edition, which Fliteboard should you choose? This guide helps you decide in a few minutes, based on your level, your use and your budget.
At Watertoys, an official Fliteboard reseller in France, we deliver every eFoil assembled, commissioned and handed over ready to ride — wherever you are.
What exactly is a Fliteboard eFoil?
An eFoil has four parts: a board, a mast with a wing (foil), an electric propulsion system (propeller or jet) and a battery (the "Flitecell"). A wireless remote controls the throttle. At low speed you float; as you accelerate, the wing generates lift and the board rises above the water: this is foiling. The result is a silent glide, with no waves or wind, on lakes, the sea or any stretch of water.
The 4 criteria for choosing your Fliteboard
- Your level — beginner, intermediate or experienced rider. The larger and more stable the board, the easier it is to master.
- Your use — relaxed cruising and family fun, sporty progression, or the pursuit of performance and speed.
- Transport — rigid board (higher performance) or inflatable (packs into a bag, ideal for travel or on board a boat).
- Budget — from €8,820 for the AIR to €20,340 for the Marc Newson signature edition.

The Fliteboard Series 6 range
The right model for your profile
Just starting out: AIR, ICON or Flitescooter
For your first sessions, prioritise volume and stability. The Fliteboard AIR is our recommendation for most beginners: an inflatable eFoil that is tough, forgiving and extremely easy to transport — it packs into a bag and launches easily from a boat or pontoon. The Flitescooter, with its removable handlebar, offers the most reassuring learning curve: ideal for families or for sharing the experience. Finally, the rigid ICON is the safe all-round choice: easy to learn, it then grows with you.
Progressing: ICON or PRO
Once taking off feels natural, you want more responsiveness. The ICON covers a wide range of levels and comes in Soft Top, Fibreglass or Carbon (lighter and livelier). The more compact PRO rewards riders who want tighter turns and more agility.
Chasing performance: ULTRA L3 or RACE
The ULTRA L3 is the most refined rigid board in the range: carbon construction, light and precise for advanced to expert riders. The RACE — Flite × Mercury Racing, born from a racing partnership, is built for speed and thrills.
A collector's piece: Marc Newson
The Fliteboard Marc Newson is a signature edition designed by one of the world's greatest industrial designers: carbon, exceptional finish, a collector's object as much as a top-tier eFoil.
System, battery, wing: completing your eFoil
Beyond the board, three choices fine-tune your Fliteboard:
- The propulsion system — the propeller (Prop C) offers the best efficiency and range; the jet (Jet C), with no exposed propeller, reassures beginners and busy-water use.
- The Flitecell battery — Nano (light, short sessions), Sport (the best all-round) or Explore (maximum range for long rides).
- The wing (foil) — a larger wing lifts off early and forgives (ideal for beginners); a smaller wing favours speed and manoeuvrability.

Our recommendation
In short: AIR or Flitescooter to start and travel light, ICON for versatility, PRO to progress toward performance, ULTRA L3 or RACE for advanced riders, and Marc Newson for a unique piece. In every case, each eFoil is delivered assembled, commissioned and handed over by us, with warranty and support in France.
